WOW. This property was amazing. My family and I stayed there for 3 nights several weeks ago, and it was definitely a highlight of our trip. We booked Colonial Suites (having done villas at the FS Langkawi, we wanted to try something different) and were upgraded to corner ones which were well over 1,000 square feet each. We had two bathrooms, a separate living room, and a private terrace. The colonial suites are actually closer to the front part of the property, so there was easy access to all the main buildings and restaurants. In addition there are free buggies and horse drawn carriages that you can take to get from one part of the resort to another.
I cannot rave enough about this resort. It was probably one of the most culturally stimulating yet relaxing places I've visited in a long time. The entire property is built with local Lanna architectural influences. They have a cultural expert on site who leads cultural tours of the property several times a week. Yoga instructors lead yoga classes at all times of the day. The Crafts Village has free classes on Thai crafts such as a umbrella painting and bamboo weaving. There are even rice paddies on the property where you can learn all about growing rice and ride on water buffaloes -- all of these activities complimentary, of course.
The staff were incredibly kind and professional -- always attentive and polite as we have come to expect from MO resorts, and the Dhari Dhevi was no different. The spa was also magnificent -- if you have time, I recommend setting up an appointment with their on-site doctor (western trained, but also skilled in ayurvedic medicine) to do a multi-day wellness program.
In short, I would definitely love to return to this resort. It was just absolutely perfect.

Generally, my impression of the hotel was decent. The singularly best thing about the hotel is its convenient location near the Night Bazaar. The service and breakfast was adequate overall, although there were two things which annoyed me. Firstly, one of my party arrived earlier than the rest of the group. The reception forgot about him and left him dozing on the lobby armchair for 2hours after which he roused and reminded them. Secondly, they cleaned our room one day and left us without any toilet paper - although it has to be said, they were prompt to respond when we called.

The hotel was the most beautiful place I have ever seen. The attention to detail in both service and design was exceptional. My only criticism was the restaurant the concierge suggested in town was not on par with the level of quality you would expect. Be careful of being sent to tourist traps. The hamburger at the pool bar is a must!
